GeoMetry Formulae - Part 1- Square

Square with side (s)
A 4-sided regular polygon with all sides equal, all interior angles 90° and whose location on the coordinate plane is determined by the coordinates of the four vertices (corners).

1)  Perimeter of Square  = ( s + s + s + s ) or  (4*s)

2)  Area of Square         = s^2

3)  Diagonal of square    = [ (side)(sqrt(2)) ]

Example :
Solve:
PQRS is a square.SRT is an equilateral triangle.How many degrees is x?

Ans:

<PSR + <RST = 90 + 60 = 150
Hence <SPT = <STP = 15
Therefore x = 90-15
---->    X=75

Triangle Properties

The interior angles of a triangle always add up to 180°
Theorem in elementary geometry states that
Extr angle = (sum of remote intr angles)  i.e -->   d=a+b
